connecting cottbus presents Pitching Projects 2012: 13 new feature film projects are looking for international co-production partners
On November 8 and 9, 2012 the East-West co-production market connecting cottbus marks its 14th edition. The industry forum, contemporaneous with the 22. FilmFestival Cottbus, offers a platform for about 150 participants to present their new feature film concepts, launch co-productions between Eastern and Western Europe and discuss current issues in the European movie industry.
In this year’s annual pitching event on November 8, 13 projects from 12 countries will be pitched to potential co-production partners. The jury with representatives from Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, MEDIA Antenna Berlin-Brandenburg, German Films, the RBB, the MDR, the Nipkow-Program and connecting cottbus selected the line-up out of a pool of 83 submissions from 29 countries. The selection covers a wide range of genres from social drama to thriller, from close daily observations to sarcastic political satire.
