KAN is the only festival in Poland organized by the students and focused on the home movies. It will be the twelfth edition of the event. In previous ones in the jury have been for example: Sławomir Idziak, Grażyna Torbicka, Andrzej Saramonowicz.
The Polish Film Institute announced the results for operational programmes for 2011 - 1st round.
Bartek Konopka's film "Aethelbald The Mute" gained financial support as a part of the Film Production Programme, which enables the development of Polish film production and co-production. The money will help with research and development of this project.

„And there was love in Ghetto...” directed by Jolanta Dylewska, based on the Marek Edelman’s book (same title) received a grant from Mazovia Film Fund.
On Sunday, 29th January in a book store ‘Wrzenie Świata’ in Warsaw there was a meeting with creators of the documentary movie ‘Rabbit a la Berlin’. Bartek Konopka – director, Piotr Rosolowski – film coauthor and cinematographer and Anna Wydra – producer were present. After the screening Oscar® nominated film there was a discussion about creation in document and presentation of ‘Rabbit a la Berlin’ book with DVD. The host of the meeting was Pawel Gozlinski, chief editor of culture and reportage department in Gazeta Wyborcza.
